HYBE’s K-Pop Cinema Festival Is Coming to More Than 50 Countries

Would you watch a BTS concert or a K-pop concert film in a movie theater?

K-pop is moving beyond concert venues and streaming platforms. HYBE has announced that HYBE CINE FEST 2026 will expand worldwide, bringing concert films, live broadcasts and fan-focused screenings to more than 1,100 movie theaters across approximately 50 countries.

The festival will take place from October 24 to October 31, 2026. It will give international fans an opportunity to experience K-pop performances together inside movie theaters, even when they cannot attend a live concert in person.

What Is HYBE CINE FEST?

HYBE CINE FEST is a theatrical event created around HYBE artists and their performances. Instead of watching a concert film alone at home, fans can gather in cinemas for a shared experience featuring large screens, surround sound, fan chants and light sticks.

The 2026 festival is being organized with event cinema distributor Trafalgar Releasing. In South Korea, the festival will be shown exclusively through Lotte Cinema.

The event first began in Latin America in 2024, where it attracted approximately 260,000 moviegoers. It expanded into Asia the following year and reportedly drew around 320,000 attendees.

Which K-Pop Artists Will Be Featured?

The program will include three concert films receiving their theatrical debuts. The films feature performances from:

  • SEVENTEEN during its Incheon concert
  • TOMORROW X TOGETHER during its Seoul concert
  • ENHYPEN during its Seoul concert

The festival will also include live broadcasts of BTS concerts from the group’s ongoing “ARIRANG” World Tour.

  • BTS in Buenos Aires — October 24
  • BTS in São Paulo — October 30

These live broadcasts will allow fans in participating countries to watch the concerts in real time inside movie theaters.

A K-Pop Sing-Along in Movie Theaters

Another major part of the festival will be the HYBE CHEERING PARTY. This program will feature music videos and performance footage from 13 HYBE-affiliated artists.

The screening is designed as a large-scale sing-along event. Romanized Korean lyrics and synchronized fan chants will appear on screen, allowing international audiences to participate even if they do not speak Korean.

The participating artists include BTS, SEVENTEEN, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, ENHYPEN, LE SSERAFIM, &TEAM, BOYNEXTDOOR, TWS, ILLIT and KATSEYE.

More Than Just a Movie Screening

HYBE is also planning fan activities at selected theaters. Some locations will offer photo zones, message walls, light-stick decoration stations and special merchandise.

In Seoul, Lotte Cinema World Tower is expected to host additional activities connected to the festival. More than 10 theaters around the world will reportedly offer special fan experiences beyond the screenings themselves.

This approach turns the cinema into a temporary K-pop fan space. Fans can watch a concert, sing along, take photos, decorate their light sticks and meet other fans in the same location.

When Do Tickets Go on Sale?

International ticket sales are scheduled to begin on September 30 at 10 p.m. Korea time.

Ticket sales in South Korea will begin on October 15 at 10 a.m. Korea time. Since the festival will take place across many countries, local screening schedules and ticketing information may vary by theater.

Fans should check the official HYBE CINE FEST website and their local cinema chain for the final program, participating locations and ticket availability.

Why This Matters for K-Pop

HYBE CINE FEST shows how K-pop companies are continuing to expand the concert experience. A fan does not always need to travel to Seoul, buy an expensive stadium ticket or wait for a streaming release.

With live broadcasts, concert films, synchronized fan chants and light-stick activities, movie theaters are becoming another type of K-pop venue.

The global rollout could also help HYBE reach casual listeners who may not yet attend concerts but are interested in experiencing K-pop with a local fan community.

For international fans, the most exciting part may be the chance to watch BTS, SEVENTEEN, TXT and ENHYPEN on a giant screen while sharing the experience with fans from the same city.
