Affiliate Disclosure

The short version

KoreaPopDesk earns money from advertising and from affiliate links. If you buy something through a link on this site, we may receive a small commission. You never pay more because of it — the price is the same as it would be if you went to the retailer directly.

As an Amazon Associate, KoreaPopDesk earns from qualifying purchases. We may also earn commissions from qualifying eBay purchases and from other affiliate programmes, including ticketing partners.

How to tell which links are affiliate links

Affiliate links appear in two places:

  • In a clearly marked product block at the end of an article, under the KoreaPopDesk Shop heading, or as a single ticket button
  • On our shop pages, which exist for that purpose and say so at the top

Affiliate links carry rel="nofollow sponsored" in the page markup. Links inside the body of an article — to sources, to official announcements, to our own earlier reporting — are never affiliate links.

How products get onto this site

Products in our shop come out of the categories we cover: a release, a launch, a retail expansion, a brand that turned up in our reporting for a reason. We do not fill the shop with whatever pays best, and we do not order items by commission rate. When a link stops working or a product is discontinued, we take it down.

We do not accept payment for placement. A brand cannot buy its way onto a shop page or into an article. Receiving a product sample does not guarantee coverage and never guarantees favourable coverage.

What affiliate links do not affect

Editorial decisions are made separately from commercial ones. Whether a story runs, how it is framed, and what it says are not influenced by whether a product in it carries an affiliate link, and our reporting on a brand is not softened because we link to its products. Our sourcing and correction rules are set out on the editorial policy page and apply regardless of any commercial relationship.

Prices, availability and third-party sellers

Prices, stock, and shipping terms are set by the retailer, not by us, and can change after an article is published. Any price mentioned on this site was accurate at the time of writing and should be checked on the retailer's page before buying.

Purchases are made with the retailer, not with KoreaPopDesk. Returns, refunds, delivery, customs charges, and warranty are handled entirely by that retailer under its own terms. We are not a party to the transaction and cannot resolve order problems on your behalf.

Ticket links

Where an article links to concert or event tickets, that link goes to an authorised ticketing partner and may be an affiliate link. We do not link to resale or secondary-market listings.

Advertising

This site displays third-party advertising. Advertisers have no access to and no influence over our editorial content. How advertising affects the data collected about you is covered in our privacy policy.
