BTS has wrapped up its North American tour with a final run of Los Angeles shows, closing a schedule that reportedly stretched across 12 locations and 31 performances.
According to Sportschosun, the tour drew more than 1.92 million fans in total. The Los Angeles leg, staged at SoFi Stadium, also became a record-setting stop for the group.
Los Angeles closes the tour on a record note
Sportschosun reported that BTS held the Los Angeles concerts on the 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 6th local time at SoFi Stadium. The outlet said the group had previously played four concerts at the venue in 2021, bringing the total to eight shows there and making BTS the act with the most concerts at SoFi Stadium.
The story also said the latest shows were livestreamed on Weverse and viewed in 177 countries and regions. In person, more than 282,000 fans attended the Los Angeles performances, and cumulative attendance across the eight SoFi Stadium shows reached about 496,000.
Fan events and city recognition
Sportschosun described several fan-led and city-level gestures tied to the concerts. On one show date, fans marked Jung Kook’s birthday with gold flashes associated with his solo album Golden. On another, they used blue flashes to celebrate RM ahead of his birthday, referencing his solo album Indigo.
The article also said Los Angeles declared August 1–8 as BTS Week, with a proclamation ceremony held at City Hall on July 31. On September 1, City Hall was lit in red, described as the key color of BTS’s new album Arirang.
Other locations were also said to have honored the group during the tour. Toronto designated August 22–23 as BTS Weekend and temporarily renamed part of Yonge Street as BTS Boulevard. Illinois proclaimed August 27–28 as BTS Day. El Paso County called its concert period El Paso BTS Weekend and gave BTS the “Estimado Amigo” honor. Maryland Governor Wes Moore posted a welcome video, and the report said Mexico extended an official invitation through President Claudia Sheinbaum.
Media attention and next destination
The story said AP and Billboard offered favorable coverage, while the Los Angeles Times called BTS a “world-class pop act.” It also noted that Forbes focused on the tour’s spread beyond the concert venue, including the use of Korean cultural elements and related promotions around Los Angeles.
Sportschosun reported that BTS’s next stop is South America. The tour is set to begin in Bogotá, Colombia, on October 2, before continuing to Lima, Santiago, Buenos Aires, and São Paulo. The article said Colombia, Peru, and Argentina will be first visits with all seven members together.
