BIGBANG’s 20th-anniversary rollout is reaching the Bay Area with a two-night Oakland stop on the group’s 2026 world tour. YG Entertainment says the tour is part of the group’s milestone comeback project, while Oakland venue listings and tour pages confirm the local dates and ticketing details.

Oakland dates confirmed for September

YG Entertainment’s notice says BIGBANG 2026 WORLD TOUR - NORTH AMERICA & EUROPE will come to Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum on September 5, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. The group’s official tour page also lists an Oakland run at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum on September 4 and September 5, 2026, both at 8:00 p.m.

The Oakland Arena event calendar separately lists a BIGBANG 2026 WORLD TOUR item and a related news post about the group performing at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum in celebration of its 20th anniversary. The venue’s news item says the trek marks the group’s first tour since 2017 and will bring together G-DRAGON, TAEYANG and DAESUNG.

Part of a wider anniversary project

YG Entertainment described the comeback as an anniversary project built around a new song, a fan event in Seoul and the first large-scale world tour in nine years. The company said BIGBANG celebrated the 20th anniversary of its debut with a free fan event at Yeouido Hangang Park in Seoul on August 19, then launched the tour at Goyang Stadium from August 21 to 23.

The label also said the tour will span 33 performances across 19 cities and travel through February next year. YG Entertainment further stated that stadium stops include MetLife Stadium in the United States, Stade de France in France, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the United Kingdom, and major venues in Japan and Taiwan.

New music and a comeback narrative

YG Entertainment said BIGBANG released the digital single “BiiiG” at 6 p.m. on August 19. The company described it as the group’s first new music in about four years and four months, following “Still Life,” which was released in April 2022.

In the company’s framing, the new song and tour are part of a broader milestone year that follows BIGBANG’s Coachella appearance earlier in 2026. YG said that performance signaled the start of a “monumental comeback,” and that the group’s 20th anniversary project would continue to draw attention from fans.

What the Oakland stop means for fans

For Bay Area fans, the Oakland stop is one of the North American highlights in the rollout and one of the clearest signs of BIGBANG’s return as a touring group. The official tour page shows ticket links for both Oakland dates, while YG Entertainment’s notice confirms the venue and city.

At this stage, the verified details point to a celebratory stadium-scale return rather than a one-off nostalgia date. The group’s own materials and venue listings present the Oakland shows as part of a larger world tour built around BIGBANG’s 20th anniversary and first tour in nine years.

In short: BIGBANG’s Oakland stop is scheduled for September 4 and 5, 2026, at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum as part of the group’s 20th-anniversary world tour.
