One of the most anticipated webtoon adaptations of 2026 finally has a release date.
Disney+ has confirmed that The Remarried Empress will premiere on November 4, 2026, bringing the hugely popular fantasy-romance story to live action.
The drama features a major cast led by Shin Min-a, Ju Ji-hoon, Lee Jong-suk and Lee Se-young.

The 10-episode series is scheduled to launch with four episodes, followed by two new episodes each Wednesday until the finale on November 25.

What Is The Remarried Empress About?
The fantasy romance follows Navier, the respected empress of the Eastern Empire.
Her seemingly perfect royal marriage begins to collapse after her husband, Emperor Sovieshu, falls for Rashta, a runaway slave who suddenly enters the imperial palace.
Sovieshu eventually asks Navier for a divorce.
But instead of allowing the betrayal to destroy her future, Navier makes a decision that changes everything: she accepts the divorce and seeks permission to remarry.
Her choice brings Prince Heinrey of the Western Kingdom into the center of a complicated story involving romance, betrayal, royal power and political rivalry.
The First Teaser Is Here
Disney+ released the drama's first teaser on August 26, giving viewers their first major look at the relationship between Navier and Sovieshu.
The teaser shows their relationship deteriorating after Rashta's arrival, while Heinrey begins to emerge as an important new presence in Navier's life.
Character posters for Navier, Sovieshu, Heinrey and Rashta were also revealed alongside the teaser.

The Remarried Empress began as a web novel before becoming a hugely successful Naver Webtoon.
By July 2026, the original property had accumulated approximately 2.97 billion views worldwide, giving the live-action adaptation an already established global audience.
