Girls’ Generation’s newest unit is getting ready for its official debut.
Girls’ Generation-HRS has unveiled its first teasers for “Skibidi,” the unit’s upcoming debut single.
The new unit brings together three Girls’ Generation members: Hyoyeon, Yuri and Sooyoung.
When Is Girls’ Generation-HRS Debuting?
Girls’ Generation-HRS will release its first digital single Skibidi on August 31, 2026 at 6 p.m. KST.
The first teaser images arrived on August 26 at midnight KST, giving fans an early look at the concept ahead of the official release.
Who Are the Members of HRS?
Girls’ Generation-HRS consists of:
• Hyoyeon
• Yuri
• Sooyoung
The unit has an unusual origin story. What began as a playful project through Hyoyeon’s YouTube channel Hyo’s Level Up eventually developed into a real Girls’ Generation unit with official music promotions.

2. Lowkey In Love
What Does “Skibidi” Sound Like?
According to SM Entertainment, “Skibidi” begins with a house sound before transitioning into hip-hop.
The track also incorporates Arabian string samples and carries a message about creating a new path together.
Meanwhile, “Lowkey In Love” is described as a dance-pop track with a retro mood, upbeat brass sounds and a catchy melody.
HRS Has Already Performed the Songs
Ahead of the digital release, Hyoyeon, Yuri and Sooyoung performed both “Skibidi” and “Lowkey In Love” at the 2026 K-Cool Festival at Seoul Land on August 22.
A New Girls’ Generation Unit
Girls’ Generation debuted in 2007 and became one of the defining groups of K-pop’s second generation.
The arrival of HRS gives fans a new combination of members while bringing Hyoyeon, Yuri and Sooyoung’s playful chemistry into an official music release.
With more teasers expected before August 31, fans won’t have to wait much longer to hear the official version of “Skibidi.”
